Valsassina offers a pleasant route that is accessible to most walkers and ideal for families. From Pasturo, we will take the cycle/pedestrian path that crosses the valley alongside the Pioverna river, while our Nature and Walking Guide introduces us to the natural and cultural features of this area at the foot of Mount Grigna.
The walk leads to the Sprizzottolo Waterfall, a panoramic spot where water collects between rocks and woods. Accompanied by the ceaseless flow of the Pioverna, we will reach the famous Cortabbio Mines, a significant testimony to the local mining history. The guided tour will allow us to learn more about life in the tunnels and the role that this place has played in the valley.
After a packed lunch, the itinerary continues towards the village of Bindo, from where we will take the bus back to Pasturo, where those who wish can end the day with a snack/aperitif at the Formaggeria Carozzi.
An experience that combines nature and history, designed for those who want to get to know Valsassina in an authentic and unhurried way.
