The other side of the moon. The 1970s and the utopia of rock festivals
From 29 November 2025 to 17 January 2027
Eighth edition of “Lecco in Acquarello”
The theme chosen for this edition, “Il Senso” (sense/meaning), introduces a reflection that intertwines with that of Leggermente, the cultural festival with which Lecco in Acquarello is associated.
The term in its original meaning of perceiving, intuiting and understanding, becomes the starting point for an exploration of the role of art today, and of the ability to interpret and give meaning to the world around us. A new direction is thus proposed, a “map of feeling” that is not limited to the objective representation of reality, but explores the paths of thought and emotion, offering a vision of the visible in constant transformation.
The exhibition will present the works of Uttam Kumar Karmaker, an exponent of a pictorial language that uses material as a tool for research, expressiveness and figurative concreteness, and the interpretations – Photographic Watercolours – by Giuseppe Giudici. The works on display are presented not as a simple representation of reality, but as a mental and symbolic elaboration, where mark, stain and colour become vehicles of an intimate and contemporary language.
Finally, there will be a series of graphic works produced by graphic design students from Lecco – CFP Consolida, IIS Medardo Rosso, ISGMD Lecco – linked to the competition organised with AssoCultura Lecco for the graphic design of the visual identity for Leggermente 2026, “Slalom tra le tracce del Senso”.
