Discover a little-known but emotionally rich loop itinerary, which from Rongio – a district of Mandello del Lario – leads us to the Rosalba Hut, crossing one of the most fascinating spots of the Southern Grigna.
We will ascend along the equipped path 13b, a track for experienced hikers that winds its way between rocky walls and spectacular viewpoints. We will pass by the Zucco di Manavello, the Zucco di Portorella and the Zucco di Pertusio, tackling some slightly exposed stretches equipped with chains: exciting passages to be tackled with a confident step and an open eye on the landscape.
Once we reach the Rifugio Rosalba, set among the rocks and recognisable by its unmistakable pink colour, we will enjoy the view that embraces Lake Como and the Alpine arc. The return will be via the gentler and quieter path no. 12, which crosses the Colonghelli and takes us back to Rongio, completing a round trip of around 12 km and 1350 metres of positive altitude difference.

Programme
8:00 am – meeting at the Eurospin car park in Via Caduti Lecchesi in Fossoli, participants check in and transfer to the start of the trail
8:30 am – arrival in Mandello del Lario
8:45 am – departure of the excursion
6 hours of walking not including breaks.
12:00 pm – break with packed lunch
5:30 / 6:00 pm – return to starting point (Lecco)
