Nestled between Lake Como and Milan, the rolling hills of Brianza unfold in a tranquil mosaic of woodlands, streams, and farmland. Here lies Curone Park, a peaceful retreat renowned for its fine wines and goat cheese.
Our walk begins along a wide country track that winds through fields and farms, leading us to Ca’ del Soldato, a historic farmhouse turned into a museum dedicated to local wildlife.
From there, we’ll continue into the woods along a peaceful path — gently uphill in parts, but never difficult — until we reach Montevecchia, a charming hilltop village with panoramic views across the park. For those who wish, there’s the option to climb the 180 steps to the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine del Carmelo, where the view is even more spectacular!
Crossing the picturesque village square, we’ll soon arrive at a delightful agriturismo, where our wine tasting begins. Our host will guide us through the vineyards for a first glass before inviting us into the cellar to sample more local IGT wines, accompanied by Montevecchia’s signature cheeses, prosciutto, and salame.
We’ll then return to our starting point via a paved road through the woods.
