Chi nasce tondo non muor quadro

‘He who is born round does not die a square’ goes an old italian saying, and indeed it is very difficult to change one’s nature and not remain true to oneself.
The paintings on display in this exhibition are an exception, all strictly ‘round’, works that challenge tradition and break with the rigid rectangular shape of classical paintings. Instead of limiting themselves to a defined limit, they open up to infinite possibilities by floating on the white walls of the gallery.

The exhibition features 25 artists from different generations and backgrounds. The works – painting, sculpture, photography and installations – each have their own language.
