We will start this pleasant excursion from the centre of Lecco following the course of the Adda river all the way to Brivio, passing through stunning landscapes rich in history.
From Lecco, we will easily reach Pescarenico, a picturesque village made famous by Alessandro Manzoni’s novel “The betrothed”.
We’ll then keep cycling along the Adda river, through woods, fields and small villages. The area is characterized by lush nature, with the possibility of spotting herons, wild ducks and other species that populate the Adda Nord Park. There are several view points where you can stop to take pictures or simply enjoy the panorama.
As we head towards Brivio, the route remains flat and passes through beautiful riverside scenery. Brivio is a charming village on the Adda banks, known for its historic bridge and the tranquillity of its centre.
The return to Lecco follows the same route, giving us the chance to further enjoy the landscape and make new stops.
