Together with Anouk Tanchis, our mid-mountain guide, we will head towards the centre of the village to the hamlet of Linzanico, the first small hamlet we encounter along the way, known for its characteristic narrow streets and stone houses. From here, we will continue the hike, which, after about 30-45 minutes of walking uphill on well-marked paths, will take us to the hamlet of Calech: this small rural hamlet is located at an altitude of about 500 metres and is a peaceful and scenic place, perfect for taking a short break.
We will then continue on the path that will finally take us, after about another half an hour’s walk, to the spectacular Cenghen Waterfall, one of the area’s most famous natural attractions.
The waterfall is located inside a narrow gorge, with a waterfall drop of about 50 metres, and is surrounded by lush vegetation and rock walls: a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the place, stopping to listen to the sound of the water.
After our break at the waterfall, we will continue our walk uphill to Mount Borbino.
