It was made famous by <strong>Alessandro Manzoni<\/strong> who mentioned it in the opening lines of his novel &#8220;<strong>The Betrothed<\/strong>&#8220;, describing &#8220;its many peaks seen in profile, which in truth resemble the teeth of a saw&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>&#8220;saw&#8221; shape<\/strong> of its many peaks can be seen from Lecco.\u00a0 A different view of this beautiful mountain can be enjoyed from the Bergamo side where the slopes are less steep and much gentler. Geologically, Resegone is primarily composed of <strong>dolomite <\/strong>rock, which gives it the typical <strong>pinkish <\/strong>colour at sunset, creating a very evocative sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The highest peak, <strong>Punta Cermenati<\/strong>, rises to <strong>1875<\/strong> metres above sea level, where there is a cross at the top and the famous mountain hut: <strong>Rifugio Luigi Azzoni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Lecco side of Resegone,<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/leccotourism.it\/en\/piani-derna\/\">Piani d&#8217;Erna<\/a><\/strong> is a popular tourist destination that can be reached on foot or by <strong>cable car<\/strong>, offering hikers and nature lovers a unique experience in the stunning Lecco mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resegone is the <strong>symbol of the city of Lecco<\/strong>: its peculiar shape makes it a true wonder of nature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Monte Resegone, also known as Monte Serrada, is one of the best-known mountains in the province of Lecco, located on the border with the province of Bergamo.
