The Rotary Trail

The Rotary Trail is a unique hiking route that takes you through various locations and allows you to explore different districts of Lecco, eventually reaching Somasca in Vercurago.

You can set off from Versasio, specifically from the square by the Piani d’Erna cable car. After about an hour’s walk, you reach the district of Acquate, and after crossing the River Bione via the Tenaglia bridge, you continue along the mule track to reach Germanedo and Campo de’ Boi. The route continues through Neguggio, on to Belledo and then Maggianico. The destination is the castle of the Unnamed in Vercurago, a stop on the Manzoni Itinerary.

To return to Lecco, you can take Linee Lecco bus no. 1 or the railway line.

A route that combines sport with a touch of literature: along the way, you will pass several places that recall Alessandro Manzoni’s novel The Betrothed.

The trail is very long and has several access points.
