For those seeking more challenging routes, the area offers technical itineraries such as the Canalone Bobbio and the Via Ferrata Gamma 1, which leads from the cable car station to the rocky faces of Pizzo d’Erna.
After a walk, the mountain huts at Piani d’Erna offer a pleasant opportunity to stop for a bite to eat, savouring traditional local specialities such as polenta taragna and typical cheeses from Lecco, accompanied by a panoramic view of the mountains.

The easiest way to reach Piani d’Erna is by cable car from Versasio, which takes you up to the plateau in just a few minutes and offers stunning views of Lecco and Lake Como during the ascent. The Piani d’Erna cable car departure station is accessible by car and has a large car park; it is also connected to the town centre by public transport.
For those wishing to reach Piani d’Erna on foot, there are several hiking trails starting from the Versasio area. Among these, the Passo del Cammello trail is one of the best-known routes for climbing up to the plateau without using the cable car, passing through a natural landscape characterised by woodland and views over the valley.
There are also other hiking trails, including the CAI trails that link the Lecco area to Piani d’Erna and continue on towards Monte Resegone.
