Premana rivive l’antico – Historical Re-enactment

‘Premana Rivive l’Antico’ (Premana brings the past back to life) is not just a historical re-enactment; it is not just our entire village getting together; it is not simply an itinerary… it is our history, our land, our mountains, our woods, our paths. And we want to share all of this with you!

This glimpse into the past and our origins is staged every two years: the entire event takes place in the small mountain village of Premana, a hamlet in Valsassina, in the province of Lecco.

What makes this re-enactment exceptional is the chance to bring the past to life, in a setting that still preserves so many traces of it, and the fact that the traditional crafts presented to visitors are not the result of philological research, but emerge from the living memories of people who once practised these trades, from the natural skill of their movements, and from the mastery passed down from their forefathers.
