The renowned skiing destination of Piani di Bobbio lies at an altitude of between 1,600 and 2,000 metres above sea level in Barzio in the province of Lecco. Its name bears witness to its history. It was once owned by the Abbey of San Colombano di Bobbio and used for livestock during summer.

Piani di Bobbio is a very popular winter sports destination. The closest resort to Milan and the cities of the Po Valley, it is perfect for families and sports lovers of all levels. The ski resort can easily be reached from both Barzio and Valtorta and is perfect for cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and bobsledding. There are many huts and cabins, where visitors can relax and enjoy a hot meal.

Piani di Bobbio is not just a winter destination. In summer, this is the perfect getaway to escape hot cities. There are many cycling routes immersed in nature and hiking paths suitable for all, including beginners and families with children.
