Mandello del Lario is a delightful town located on the eastern shores of Lake Como, surrounded by the Grigne mountain range. This village has managed to preserve its identity over the years and is an ideal destination for those seeking a relaxing day amidst nature, history and… engines.

Moto Guzzi, one of Italy’s most prestigious motorcycle manufacturers, has had a factory in Mandello since 1921. The history of the company can be discovered at the Moto Guzzi Museum, near the town centre, where historical motorcycle models and the latest innovations are exhibited.

The Mandello territory is rich in buildings and monuments of great historical and cultural importance. Three mediaeval towers stand out: the Pretoria Tower, the Lanfranconi Tower, and the best known of all, the Barbarossa Tower

Nature lovers will find numerous hiking and trekking routes on the Grigne and various water sports are available on the lake.

Interesting fact: the International Motorcycle Rally is held every year in September when bikers flock to the town from all over the world to celebrate the foundation and history of Moto Guzzi.
